12 Gauge Complete Shotgun Cleaning Kit

Included with your 12ga cleaning kit:  

Polishing Cloth - Thirty cm square, tough and lint free polishing cloth.  Excellent quality and will leave a bright finish as well as being compatible with all cleaning kits and suitable for a range of applications.

Cleaning Patches - Pack of cleaning patches.  These are of an excellent quality and will not break apart leaving residue of the patch while cleaning as well as being compatible with all cleaning kits and suitable for a range of applications. They are ideal for use with the included jag.

Bronze Brush - 12 Gauge bronze cleaning brush. The bronze is softer than your barrels so will not damage them, but is tough enough to remove stubborn dirt. Please note if using strong solvents a nylon brush is more suitable as they will break down the bronze bristles.

Nylon Brush - 12 Gauge nylon cleaning brush. Suitable for use with strong solvents if these are required to break down stubborn dirt.

Jag - 12 / 20 Gauge Cleaning Jag. For holding cleaning patches while cleaning barrels.

Wool Mop - 12 Gauge wool mop. For use at the end of the barrel cleaning process to remove any residue of dirt or cleaner.

Three Piece Rod - Durable three piece wooden rod with 10 – 32 thread. This is suitable for use with all the cleaning attachments included with the kit.

All contained with a tough plastic case as well as being compatible with Verney Carron accessories. Replacement accessories are available and all items excluding the case are available separately.

Check that the gun is empty and pointing in a safe direction. Break it down to the fore-end, barrels and action. Clean the barrels by spraying cleaner or oil down them and using the brush on the rod, cleaning each barrel. If you are using strong solvents, use the Nylon Brush, as the chemicals will break down the bronze brush. Then use the mop or the jag with a patch on for final cleaning. All the metal surfaces can be wiped over with a patch sprayed with cleaner. If the gun is very dirty, let the cleaner soak in before wiping off and repeat as necessary. Once clean, a little oil or grease can be put onto the hinge area and metal-to-metal surfaces including the chokes. Our CCL Gun Conditioning Oil can be used on wooden to maintain condition. The gun can then be reassembled. Use the Polishing Cloth to remove fingerprints and dust.
